Ms. Arcidiacono
is a ChildTrauma Fellow
and a licensed Master Social Worker in the state of
Texas working toward her clinical licensure.
Ms.
Arcidiacono received her Master’s degree from the
University of Houston and completed her undergraduate
degree
at Southern Methodist University in
Psychology and Women's Studies.
She has developed programs for families and individuals
to help deal with grief and traumatic loss and is
currently working to build on those and develop
integration programs and materials for
communities, schools, communities of faith and
businesses. Ms. Arcidiacono also works as an advocate
for children, young adults and their families dealing
with issues as a result of Traumatic Brain Injury.
Ms. Arcidiacono participates as part of
the CTA Critical Incidence Response Team. In this
capacity, she conducts debriefings for Texas Department
of Family and Protective Services staff who have
experienced the death, or serious injury, of a child on
their caseload or other traumatic events in their work.
Her academic interests include relational poverty,
trauma, secondary trauma, grief and traumatic brain
injury. She is available to provide training and
consultation on grief and traumatic loss program
development as well as to facilitate support groups and
assist in organizing public awareness efforts.
